Blemish-Free Skin Is Now Possible

acne-free skin maintenance plan Acne Maintenance Plan...

Since acne is a recurring problem a maintenance plan will be designed to help keep acne blemishes away.

This plan will include periodic follow up visits here at our office as well as a home care regimen which usually includes physician-grade skin care products and may include prescription medication.  Patients with more severe acne may require periodic retreatment with light or laser based therapies such as PDT or radiofrequency with Matrix RF for maintenance of a clear complexion.

Avoidance of high amounts of carbohydrates and processed foods in the diet may help acne as well.  Some patients may benefit from supplements for skin reasons and/or for other general health reasons, including vitamin D and/or multivitamins.  Diabetes, if present, should be controlled.  Smoking should be avoided as it ages the skin and promotes scar formation.  Picking at acne promotes scar and inflames the pimples.  Those who pick may benefit from prescription medication to help anxiety or depression.

Finally, a comprehensive maintenance program to help keep your skin looking great!
