Let’s face it, those fine lines and wrinkles that accumulate as we get older do very little to enhance our appearance. Most of us would love to get rid of them, or at least soften them up a bit, but who wants to deal with the cost and pain associated with surgery. Luckily, there are now some inexpensive, anti-aging skin treatments that can give you a non-surgical face lift.

If you’re bothered by facial wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity, pigment changes, age spots and volume loss caused by aging and sun exposure, we have many surgery-free options available. These include Botox Wrinkle Treatments, Juvederm Lip Injections, and other facial and nonfacial Juvederm Injections (Including Juvederm Ultra XC, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, Juvederm Volbella XC, Juvederm Vollure XC and Juvederm Voluma XC).

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing using our state of the art Syneron CO2RE CO2 Fractional Laser and our Cynosure SmartSkin CO2 Fractional Laser are effective. A fractional CO2 laser treatment can take 5-10 years off the facial appearance, improve smooth skin and reduce irregular pigmentation dramatically. CO2 Laser treatments around the eyes, sometimes called the Madonna Lift, are effective too. Laser treatments are safer and less expensive than eyelid surgery, also called Blepharoplasty. Our Cynosure PicoSure Laser has almost no down time, but requires a series of treatments for best results. Wrinkle, Sun Spot and birth mark removal is possible with many Lasers, including the PicoSure, CO2RE and Cynosure MedLite C6. Other sun damage treatments and precancer treatments including PDT (photodynamic therapy) and prescription medications can be added. Aggressive skin tightening is also possible with our Infini RF radiofrequency machine. Combination therapies such as Dr. Van Reken has had performed on himself over a series of time by his staff produce great results. A combination Dr. Van Reken has had himself included fractional CO2 laser, Infini Radiofrequency and PRP of the face and neck.

Radiofrequency and Laser treatment for rosacea and spider veins are successful using our Candela Vbeam Perfecta Laser, Gentle Yag Pro and the Ellman Surgitron. Laser or IPL photofacials with little down time are possible with our PicoSure, Medlite C6, Gentle Yag Pro and our IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) machines.

Acne Scar Correction uses the PicoSure, CO2RE, MedLite and Vbeam Lasers, the most effective for texture being the CO2RE. However, the CO2RE is most suitable for lighter skin. Radiofrequency is popular for acne scar and wrinkles. For minor scarring the Syneron Ematrix radiofrequency device works well. For moderate to severe scarring the Lutronic Infini RF device is great–a series of treatments can reduce acne scarring 50% or more. This not only helps acne scar, it reduces oil production and nicely reduces active acne lesions and wrinkles. Radiofrequency treatments are useful for any skin color or ethnicity. Dr. Van Reken performs TCA CROSS for ice pick acne scars. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections with Microneedling are also helpful for scars, roughened skin, wrinkles and sun damage. We treat active acne using topical prescription and nonprescription creams and pills. Acne treatment procedures include Acne Cyst Drainage (covered by insurance), Facials, Chemical Peels, Lasers, Ematrix and Infini radiofrequency procedures and PDT (photodynamic therapy). PDT is covered by some insurances for acne, but most will cover it for sun damage and precancers (actinic keratoses). LED Red Light Therapy helps healing after procedures, reduces acne and is used during PDT treatments.

Laser Hair Removal is easy with our bilingual, friendly, laser techs and the effective, safe, Gentle Yag Pro Laser, which has the 1064 nm wavelength that is safe for all skin colors and types. This machine also works well on rosacea, facial spider veins and leg spider veins.

Mole removal using radiofrequency without stitches or scalpel is popular, as is curetting of surface lesions such as seborrheic keratoses and dermatosis papulose nigra. Melasma treatments using topical products, chemical peels and the PicoSure and MedLite Lasers are helpful, but melasma is a chronic condition without cure and requires maintenance therapy for best results. We offer Laser, PDT, biopsies, surgery and other treatments for Skin Cancer and Precancers (actinic keratoses). Microneedling with the CosmoPen device with or without PRP is helpful for skin tightening and is commonly used on the face, neck and décolleté for irregular texture, wrinkles and sun damage. Tattoo Removal works well with the Cynosure PicoSure Laser, a state of the art machine which has revolutionized with way we remove tattoos.

Sclerotherapy for spider veins and varicose veins and Laser Vein Removal can handle small spider veins and larger veins. Very large, painful veins can be destroyed by Dr. Van Reken using Endovenous Laser Ablation, which is often covered by health insurance and has minimal down time.
