Tattoos have traditionally been difficult to remove. Lasers tattoo removal has usually been slow and only partially effective. Prior to the Cynosure Picosure Tattoo removal system some tattoos were incompletely removed even after 10 or 20 treatments. With new “picosecond” technology the PicoSure laser has changed the game. Tattoo removal is now much faster with fewer sessions and more complete removal. Dr. Van Reken shows some demonstrations of a variety of tattoos being removed. Clients are happy, especially those that have had prior treatments with older lasers. Intervals between tattoo removal sessions are about 6-8 weeks.
